I'm so bad at Hallowe'en costumes

Every year, I go into sweatpants mode the day of or the week of Hallowe'en. This is who I was last year:
Yes, exactly. "Who is that?" you're wondering. It's "Janine" from Hot Fuzz. The whole costume was <$20 at Home Depot. Score. The only trouble with my costumes is that I never choose characters and personalities that people immediately can identify. I've always wanted to be these guys for Hallowe'en. Martin Short as SNL's "Ed Grimley."

William Sanderson as "J.F. Sebastian" from Blade Runner. I read that the jacket he wore in that movie (not pictured) was being sold in an online auction. Bidding starts at $8,000.

So, here are some options for this Hallowe'en 2009:

The Joker's nurse costume from The Dark Knight. The dress is being auctioned off on eBay for 30 bucks. And it's a regular, plain white dress; Heath didn't actually wear it or anything. 'Kay.

Jim Carrey as the title character in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, as pictured above.

Are you weird like me and thinking ahead?

  1. I vote for Ed Grimley. I loved his character plus I want to see how you would do your hair:)

  2. Haha! I think I could go to a salon and pay a hairdresser to do the front. I'll probably look like Joe Dirt.
